The manual implying modular education incorporates the concept of student-focused education including not only practical education but also result-oriented and co-operational education, which enables to upgrade pedagogical knowledge and qualification of vocational education teachers. The teaching manual gives practical insights for preliminary and middle vocational education trying to reach teachers lacking pedagogical background, on-jobs trainers, future pedagogues and those who are interested in pedagogy. Being unique in its structure and concept, the manual might also be served as a practical guide to a professional teacher, as well as an educational tool for a beginner.

Electric Arc Welding Volume I and Electric Arc Welding Volume II

The manual introduces the main principles of electro-welding, the tools and mechanics of electro-welding, the structure and maintenance technologies. The manual is designed in correspondence with the qualification standard and modular programs for electro-welders and is developed especially for students receiving the qualification of Electro-welders. It can also be useful for the minor staff working in the sphere of welding. The manual mainly uses the tools and materials adequate to the current technical standards and demands, which are replaceable with other sort of equipment in case of further development of market economy.

Applied Mechanics

The educational manual consists of “Applied Mechanics” and “Building Constructions” educational modules and is tailored for students receiving Constructor-technician middle level professional qualification of “2902 Building and maintenance of buildings” specialty. The manual includes CD with corresponding State qualification standard and modular program as support tool for not only students, but also for teaching staff. The publication implies main methods and techniques in applied mechanics, resistance of materials, main calculations of building constructions, etc. The manual is applicable for students studying construction, as well as for practitioners in construction, including designers. The publication is a first attempt to deliver formal technical knowledge and skills for middle level of professional education in Armenian language.

Food Expertise

The manual is mainly developed for middle professional education level students seeking “Food Inspector” qualification of “2819 Food Quality Expertise” specialty. The publication can be also used by those who are studying cattle-breeding, cattle breeding sanitary expertise, and other relevant specialties. The manual introduces main issues dealing with examination and expertise of food of animal and vegetative origin. The Manual is supplemented with CD reflecting full information on both State qualification standard and modular program for the above-mentioned qualification as a support tool for not only students, but also for teaching staff. The publication is the first attempt since 1992 to deliver food expertise knowledge and techniques for vocational education students and teachers in Armenian language.

Exploitation of Agrivehicles (part I) and Renovation and Manintenance of Agrivehicles (part II)

Two-volume manual is designed for VET students seeking “Technical maintenance of agricultural production” qualification. The publication could also serve farmers and other practitioners in agricultural sector. The manual introduces agricultural machinery fleet as well as presents agro-vehicle’s structure, main principles of operation, main technologies and requirements of agro-vehicles’ maintenance, quality monitoring system, modern methods of tractor renovation and diagnosis. The Manuals are supplemented with CD reflecting full information on both State qualifications standard and modular program for the above-mentioned qualification. The publication is the first attempt since 1992 to deliver technical knowledge and skills for preliminary level of professional education in Armenian language.

Construction Technology

Educational manual consisting of two modules: “Technology of Building Construction” and “Engineering Network of Buildings” is developed for students seeking Constructor-Technician qualification of “2902 Construction and Maintenance of Building” middle level vocational specialty. The publication among different issues highlights topics on construction technology and design, installation of building constructions, as well as main principles of water, gas and power supply in buildings. The Manual is supplemented with CD reflecting full information on both State qualifications standard and modular program for the above-mentioned qualification as a support tool for not only students and practitioners, but also for teaching personal of specialized VET schools. The publication is the first attempt to deliver technical knowledge and skills for middle level of professional education in Armenian language.

Manual For Waiters

This educational manual is tailored for preliminary professional level students receiving the qualification of a “Waiter” of “Public Catering” specialty. The manual is developed according to and on the basis of the Competency-based Qualification Standard of a “Waiter” approved by the Decree No. 1039 of the Minister of Education and Science and is used as an auxiliary tool for learning separate modules. The Manual can also be useful for the employed waiters, as well as for the management and working staff of the public catering services.
