Today, professional "Education and Career EXPO 2011" was launched in Yerevan enabling educational institutions, international and local companies engaged in educational sector to widely display to public already done job and future plans.
Being one of the key players in developing and promoting vocational education on the ground, UNDP Vocational Education and Training (VET) project, funded by the Government of Denmark, participated in the exhibition presenting to a wide audience the broad range of activities implemented in the framework of the project.
Together with about 50 organizations and educational institutions, UNDP VET project displayed its achievements to the Expo visitors, as well as provided them with the necessary information to further boost cooperation and partnership with the UNDP Armenia. The visitors and participants of the Expo were highly impressed by the large and diverse scope of activities the UNDP Armenia implements in the VET sector and expressed interest in rich and nicely designed professional educational materials developed in the framework of the VET project. They also got acquainted with the modern educational facilities and professional laboratories that were established with the support of the VET project.
Armen Ashotyan, RA Minister of Education and Science welcomed the organizers, participants and visitors of "Education and Career EXPO 2011". In his speech the Minister mentioned that "Education and Career Expo 2011" is one of the most powerful tools to make public aware of educational reforms and newly emerged opportunities for sustainable employment, as well as on large spectrum of activities implemented by different organizations. He pointed out that such kind of educational exhibitions are of special value, which convey not only a high educational spirit, but also provide with outstanding opportunities to estimating acquired knowledge and skills and promote critical thinking and innovative solutions.
